3.2 XML_Service

The XML-Service is used as a binding module of a xml platform such as Xerces from Apache or MSXML from Microsoft. The module provides all nessecary interfaces to access XML structure, data and even transforming using stylesheets (XALAN from Apache).

The Zeus-Framework is able to run without this library, but all XML based classes like X-Objects, XML-File classes etc. won't work.

The opensource version of Zeus-Framework provides the XML-Service module using Xerces XML and the Xalan XSLT library (from Apache). Both libraries are available for Linux and Windows.

Hint: Make sure you build the libraries as UNICODE. Zeus-Framework is based on UNICODE strings.

The XML-Service can also built with the MSXML Parser from Microsoft. I've done that in order of a company and therefore can't use it as opensource. If you have a questions or problems, please contact me here. It'd try to help out :-)
